Branding, Indentity, Print Design, and Production
Le Laboratoire is a one-of-a-kind art, design and science center that houses a cafe, exhibition space, lecture hall and educational programs. The experimental not-for-profit moved from Paris to Cambridge in 2015 and wanted to establish a new identity for their Cambridge location. The identity also needed to correlate to a new events and lecture series poster.
The graphic strategy ties the organization’s identity and events together. Each lecture theme and its events are framed in a bounding box, and the letters of ‘Le Laboratoire’ are staggered between each of the bounding boxes. Like many of Jessee Design’s print designs, the piece asks the reader to interact with it. The finished piece is folded with a double half fold, making it usable as a take-away pamphlet, calendar-based events listing, fold-out image of the space, and 18” x 24” poster. If you are in Boston, be sure to stop by their impressive cafe for an experimental cocktail!
